May Meetings of the SWG

The Savannah Writers Group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 PM. This month that means we will see each other on Tuesday, 12 May and on Tuesday, 26 May. At the 26 May meeting, we will welcome guest speak Bess Chappas . Bess has twenty-one years experience as a teacher and school librarian.  She is a beloved story-teller, spinning yarns and telling stories to children and adults alike.  She has written feature articles for Savannah Morning News and other publications. She  has won  Honorable Mention for an article in the Writers Digest contest and has authored the CD, "Savannah Ghost Stories"  and the children's book, "Kiki and the Red Shoes" and "Kiki and the Statue of Liberty".  She has just finished a para-normal romance set in Savannah in the 70's.  Next is a memoir of her mother, who lived to be 98.  Bess was born in Kalapas, Greece and came to U.S. with her family when she was six.
