Gemini MAGAZINE Andrew Stancek has won the 2012 Gemini Magazine Flash Fiction Prize and $1,000 award for “Always There,” a vivid snapshot of a military occupation as seen through the eyes of a 13-year-old boy. Cindy Rosmus won second place for “Heal Me,” about a cancer patient who attends a healing mass given by a rather antagonistic priest. Third place: “The Strangers of Dubai” by Victoria Kelly.
