The Savannah Writers Group Retreat - St. Simons Island (15 - 17 OCT 2016) - Registration Required

Escape the distractions of your busy life. Advance your craft and energize your writing on beautiful St. Simons Island. Spend 3 glorious days building your own itinerary. Relax on the beach, or enjoy the beautiful outside space provided. Stroll into the downtown area for lunch, or lounge in the seaside park under old oak trees. What could be better than working within a supportive environment with other writers? The cost is $165 per person, if we have 8 writers or $135 per person if we have 10 writers, to be paid in full when you book your reservation by June 1, 2016. There will be no refunds, however your reservation can be transferred to another member. Deposit to the owner, Darlene, is due by June 6, 2016. Voting, Pizza, Sharing and more Voting!

Ladies and Gentlemen, It is official! UNCLE MADDIO'S PIZZA has been unanimously voted as our new permanent meeting place! While it may look like a small establishment from the outside, the pizzeria boasts a private back room, which the friendly staff has been gracious enough to book for our use. The food ain't bad either! The next meeting of the Savannah Writers Group will be held at Uncle Maddio's on Tuesday, 26 April at 7PM. Never been to a meeting? Don't be shy! Anyone can attend. We range from the published to the unpublished, the beginner to the advanced. Can't make it? Worry not! We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. On the agenda for this meeting is the discussion of the future of the Savannah Writers Group. Member Carolyn Vance has been hard at work on a document which should mold our conversation.
